Born to a Belgian Manouche or Gypsy family in 1910, Django Reinhardts musical career began at the age of 13 playing guitar at the Rue Monge Dance-Hall in Paris.

His subtle harmonies and amazing technique attracted the attention of Stephane Grappelli and in 1934 the pair formed the now legendary Hot Club du France.
