Clarence Barlow was born in 1945. He studied electronic music and composition at Cologne Music University with Bernd Zimmermann, Vinko Globokar and Karl Heinz Stockhausen. Since 2006 he has been Corwin Professor of Composition at the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he now lives. Clarence Barlow has written many pieces for piano, including 13 preludes and fugues. He has also written for the player piano and four of these pieces are featured on this Super Audio CD.
