The Guardian have teamed up with the inventors of About Time to bring you the fantastic Guardian edition of the acclaimed new board game About Time. The Guardian edition of About Time includes a unique set of question cards featuring iconic Guardian front pages, available through Guardian Reader Offers for you to enjoy this Christmas.

About Time is a great new trivia game first seen on BBC2’s Dragons’ Den in which players guess the year of iconic events through time. About Time continues to receive excellent reviews for its inclusive games play mechanism, and for its outstanding design and content. As you only need to get closer than other players, there are no wrong answers in About Time, and with all players taking part in every round there is no waiting around either.

This is a fantastic game - a bit like an improved version of Trivial Pursuit - with the main advantages being that all players are involved all the time, and you don't need to get the answer right, just be closer than the other players. Superb production quality and cute Guardian front pages to look at too.

I bought this last Christmas as a 'general' gift for our family of keen game-players (all aged 18+). After spending over 45 minutes setting up the different elements of the game up and trying to fathom the very complicated rules, we gave up and put it all back in the box, where it has stayed ever since. This game is basically a variation on the old - and infinitely simpler, therefore better - game of Chronology, only with a whole lot of extra bells and whistles which don't justify the price or the time it takes to get to grips with it.
