Pretty Peonies:
The Chinese word for peony is “sho yu” which means “most beautiful and it is easy to see why. Popular since the Edwardian period, free-flowering with enormous blooms they make great specimens in a sunny or partially shaded border where they flower in mid-summer. They are also a favourite cut flower.
We are offering three gorgeous double-flowering herbaceous varieties:
Peony Sarah Bernhardt - this popular variety has rose-pink, highly fragrant blooms above upright stems and mid-green leaves (Approx. 1m height & spread)
Peony Shirley Temple - pale blush pink blooms soon open to reveal fully double rounded white flowers. The plant, once established will be covered in fragrant blooms and is great for cut flowers (Approx. 85cm height & spread)
Peony Karl Rosenfield – flowers of striking magenta are full of fragrance. The plant is free-flowering above mid-green leaves. (Approx. height 80cms and spread)
