Handmade leather boots: brown chelsea boot (BV14):

Excellent affordable and comfortable

matched the product description but very poor quality leather and some of the stitching has already split with only light use. Probably a fair value for what they are but nowhere near the quality of the £100 plus boots that they pertain to compete with. when things look to good to be true they normally are.

I bought a pair of these in March and they are rubbish. They are very badly made from poor quality leather and are totally permeable. Whenever it rains my feet get soaked. They are also very fragile, the thin soles have worn through (and been repaired) once already and the upper of the left boot is developing a split, despite being polished with good wax polish regularly. The only thing to be said in their favour is that they look nice, but I would strongly recommend that you avoid them.. If you want (and can afford) a nice looking pair of shoes to wear once or twice then maybe, but if like me you are after some decent smart footwear for work then avoid. Although they are cheap they are not a bargain, as you will get very little wear out of them and have to replace them soon. I bought another pair of Samuel Windsor boots at the same time, taking advantage of a two for one deal, and they are no better. Both pairs are disintegrating after less than six months of ordinary wear. I am very disappointed that the Guardian is associated with flogging such crap.

The leather on these Chelsea boots were of very bad quality and the smell of dampness from them was quite unacceptable.They were more like the texture of short Wellington boots rather than hand made leather Chelsea boots. Very poor

Delivery was quick and product nice quality for the price, however sizing seems to be a little flaky as I had 2 pairs the same size and they were about 0.5-1 size lager than the last pair I bought. This pair had obviously been a return as the sole was scuffed and the labels removed.
