Absolutely disastrous pair of shoes. If the soles are really made of leather then it is the kind of leather that acts a bit like cardboard. I wore them in the wet and the shoes seemed to soak up water from the sole. I squeezed the sole it was like a sponge. In addition to that the water retained in the sole seemed to stain the main body of the shoe. It now looks like it is rotting from the bottom. This shoe is not worth the £30 I paid for them.

Absolutely dreadful shoes.Hand made ..Perhaps..How else do you make shoes?
Dodgy eyesight and quality control.
I bought two pairs and they fell apart within weeks. The stitching is hopeless, they leak like a sieve ,the soles and uppers are cheap leather but I guess they are cheap to buy. I would not recommend these shoes to anyone
I suggest you save up and enjoy a better 'Handmade ' shoe from some other supplier

I've had four pairs of Samuel Windsor's in my life and all have fallen to pieces after a couple of months of regular wear. There's a reason they are cheap: they are poorly made shoes. That's not to say they're not great if you only want to wear them occasionally. Just don't expect a pair of old friends from Samuel Windsor.

I bought a couple of pairs of these recently. The quality of manufacture isn't the best, but the quality of leather is fairly good. Mine certainy don't leak, although the finish is a bit rough.
One of the pairs I received was a "previously owned" pair, which I wasn't too keen on(one pair was wrapped nicely in tissue, the other without, and had scratched soles).
In fairness to Samuel Windsor they did offer to replace this pair.
Both my pairs were oversize too - they were labelled as a 9, and since I normally take a 9 or 9 1/2 I thought they'd be tight if anything. But I slip out of the heels of these, so they must be a 10. I'd err on the smaller side if you're inbetween sizes.
Overall, you get what you pay for. I'd not use them again.

I am delighted with the two pairs of shoes that I ordered 5 days ago and arrived today. Good quality leather, hand stitched, spare laces, shoe horn and stretcher, cloth shoe bag. Return lable attached if not happy (but doubt you will need it)! I have just ordered two more pairs for my father for Christmas! If only all shopping was so stress free and good value!

Have bought 2 pairs and am chuffed with although bit disappointed I missed this offer as would have saved 40 quid! They are a good quality shoe - no problems with leaking and have worn them in the rain.

I also beleive the above score is unfair and unjustified..2 pairs of well made shoes for less than a £90, I think these shoes are excellent value.

I don't believe the above review is fair comment. The shoes look good value.

Samuel Windsor shoes fail to satisfy on two very major points. They are the smelliest shoes ever (the reek of leather is overpowering - is it an additive they spray on?) and they are not waterproof - they leak like sieves in the rain.
So useless as shoes unless you live in the Sahara and the stench of "leather aroma" is right up your street.
