Save water. Save time. Save energy.
It is estimated that, on average, we boil twice the volume of water needed every time. Which means twice as much energy, twice as much time. With a 3kW kettle that’s the same as wasting the energy of around 50 light bulbs!

The Eco Kettle looks like a stylish electric kettle in appearance but it has very special and important ‘saving’ features… The Eco Kettle has been invented to specifically meet the challenge of reducing the amount of energy wasted by overfilling your kettle. Fill the kettle to the brim and simply press the button in the lid to release a specific amount of water (1-to-8 cups worth) into the ‘boiling chamber’. This easy, simple method of accurately ensuring that you boil only the water that you need means that you can save the planet while on your tea break! Thus saving water, saving time & saving energy!

Every kettle is boil tested as part of the manufacturers quality assurance procedures and this may leave small drops of water inside the Reservoir and Boiling Chamber. More about the Eco Kettle…
The Eco Kettle was invented in the UK and has been awarded the prestigious 'Recommended' mark by the Energy Saving Trust. This is the first award to be given in the EST's newly established Kettle category, and endorses the massive 31% average energy savings achieved by the ECO Kettle in independent trials. Based upon average usage figures, it is estimated that ECO Kettles sold over the past 3 years have already reduced CO2 emissions in the UK by a staggering 1000 tonnes.

i bought one about 2 months ago and have to say i think it's a winner. you just boil exactly what you need which you get a cup of tea in about 30 seconds max. by the time you have a tea bag and sugar in the cup it's boiled. brilliant!!!!

I bought this kettle about a year ago. I have to say that I never had any difficulty estimating the amount of water I needed in the old style kettle (I never boil a full one) and to be honest I find this kettle frustrating. It is heavy (because of the two chambers) the cup sizes on the side are teacups and we always use mugs or cafetieres so you are still estimating and finally, when it boils if you pour it straight away you get hot water spat at you from the spout when you put it down again. It boils water fine but I think it's a gimmicky waste of money (and I pride myself on being a canny consumer with decent green credentials).
