Tyre pressure guard detailed image one

Driving with under-inflated tyres can be dangerous and cause unnecessary and expensive tyre wear, but this pressure guard is an accurate and low cost device that enables drivers to check tyre pressure at a glance.

Quick to fit and easy to use, simply screw the pressure guards onto correctly inflated tyres in place of the existing dust caps. Red and green indicators rise up and stop perfectly level. If the tyres lose more than 2psi, the green indicators withdraw, revealing the red indicator.

This action continues, as more pressure is lost, alerting drivers when their tyres have lost pressure. Re-inflate the tyre and the pressure guard automatically resets.

The pressure guards fit any tyre operating between 20 and 42psi, effectively covering every car and motorbike, and come with highly regarded German TUV certification.

£11.99 for one pack of four, or £19.98 for two packs.

As I discovered to my cost, makes tyre more vulnerable to inadvertent kerbing, as pressure guard protrudes further than standard cap and is more fragile, so that if it is damaged or broken off, pressure can be lost. (In this connection would be useful to have a pack of FIVE, so that a spare is available) Reviews on other sites, including comments from a tyre fitter, point to other weaknesses, including likelihood of slow leakage from the tyre, and questionable accuracy.
